Our luxury ground floor apartment in Palomares on the beautiful Costa Almeria offers spacious accomodation. Ideal for families and couples also ideal for golfers as the area boasts several excellent courses. If you want to get away and relax in the sun in an area that is said to have the most sunshine in Spain then our apartment is the place to be. It is equipped with all you should need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We have a strictly non-smoking policy and unfortunately we do not allow pets. The apartment is situated on a small complex near to the village. Palomares has cafes, bars (English and Spanish) supermarkets (one with DVD rental), banks, bakery, butcher, post office and a chemist.It also has a lovely beach which has a Chiringuito/beach bar. Palomares is still very Spanish and the people are very friendly.

The apartment offers 2 Bedrooms, one twin bedded with ensuite bathroom and one double bedded both with large fitted wardrobes. The 2 bathrooms are well equiped with one having a walk in shower cubicle and the ensuite having full size bath with shower over it and bidet. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious with electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer and automatic washing machine. This is just outside the back door as is usual in Spain. There is a washing line across one end of the patio. The open plan lounge has one 2 seater and one 3 seater settee and a dining area with seating for 4. A flat screen TV which receives English (FreeSat) and Spanish programmes is installed plus a DVD/CD player with selection of DVD's and audio CD's.

The apartment is fitted with air-conditioning in the lounge/dining area and the 2 bedrooms, these rooms can be kept nice & cool during the heat of summer but also using the same system heated during any chilly evenings. As the rear of the apartment is south facing, the sun shines into the back rooms making the rest of our apartment nicely shaded and cool.

The apartment has a private walled decked/tiled patio garden at the rear which is lovely and sunny due to it being south facing. It is a wonderful space to enjoy a glass of the local excellent wine, eat or just relax. There is a patio table and 4 chairs with parasol, 2 sun loungers and 4 extra garden chairs kept in an outside storage box along with cushions etc.

The apartment is situated on a small complex, near all that Palomares has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the sound of the birds. The apartment complex has a large pool and toddler's pool, use of a toilet and showers .

Balcones del Marques complex is in a great position - the beach is a 20 minute stroll down the road, in the car it is a mere 3/4 minutes and Palomares village centre is just five minutes in the other direction.The village has a nice little square where you can watch the world go by.

Palomares is conveniently situated in the south-East of Spain. It is located approx. 50 minutes drive from Almeria airport, approx. 90 minutes from Murcia airport and 2 hrs from Alicante airport. It is best to hire a car as the local transport is somewhat limited and there are so many beautiful and interesting places to visit it would be a shame not to make the most of your visit to this gorgeous part of Spain.

Just a matter of minutes away from Palomares is the village of Villaricos a small fishing village with its own little harbour. 10 minutes down the road is the port of Garrucha. It boasts a working harbour and has numerous restaurants serving the fish caught daily by the local fisherman. Mojacar Playa and its ancient white hilltop town Mojacar Pueblo is only 15 minutes away and further on down the coast towards Almeria is the Cabo de Gata National Park. Weekly markets are held in the surrounding villages and towns. A huge range of activities are available locally a choice of 4 golf courses within 20 minutes, scuba/diving, tennis and horse riding, go karting . The Parque Aquatico Vera (Water Park) is only 5 minutes away with a picnic area, funpools , flumes of all shapes sizes a real fun day out. Further afield you could visit Tabernas where there is the Mini Hollywood theme park where spaghetti westerns like Fist full of dollars were filmed, with daily shows ,and shoot outs.
